Ultrasonic cleaning, rinsing and vacuum drying
Effi cient cleaning processes need to remove both polar (salts, particles, light oxide layers, fi ngerprints and other inorganic soilings) and nonpolar soilings (oils, greases). Only the combination of A3 solvents and detergents guarantees highest cleaning quality. Amsonic Swash unites both these cleaning technologies in one single chamber cleaning system (vacuum).
The choice of the cleaning agent has to be adapted to the type of soiling and the material of the parts to be cleaned. In turn, the application order of both agents within the cleaning process depends on cleanliness requirements, e.g. it is possible to accomplish a preliminary cleaning phase with A3 solvent followed by an aqueous fi ne cleaning phase. This sequence is also applicable vice versa. As a matter of course, it is also possible to use both cleaning technologies individually.
“Cleaning like with like” is an old principle amongst cleaning specialists that is consequently implemented by the Amsonic Swash concept. An organic hydrocarbon based solvent removes mineral oil best (at this a continuous distillation provides for ever clean solvent). Detergents on the other hand, remove salts and particles.
A further advantage of the Swash concept lies in the water-based cleaning agent not getting polluted with oil and grease and therefore maintaining its cleaning effi ciency (low detergent consumption). In addition to two basic detergents, Swash enables using up to three additional detergent dosing pumps. This allows the removal of a wide spectrum of soilings and impurities. Biocompatibility is guaranteed for the medical industry.
The Amsonic Swash clearly achieves better cleaning results than machines operated with polar A3 solvents. The complete water solubility of such solvents makes an effi cient distillation impossible and e.g. salts and fi ngerprints cannot be removed.
